Dragon Ride Coming Soon
Posted: 18th May 2010 | Event Date: 6th June 2010
With just under a month to go, the Verenti Dragon Ride Wales is gearing up what organisers bill as its best edition yet.
The 2010 edition of the established and well-supported South Wales event will boast a 'more bustling event village', and the new ChampionChip timing system, with the disposbale chip built into the rider number - negating the need to check in at the start or hand in the chip at the finish, promising a seamless rider experience. Event organiser Lou Lusardi is clearly excited about it, claiming it "could be the Holy Grail of Sportive timing - a totally disposable transponder."
Lou continues: "It's lighter, cheaper and greener to send out, requires less packaging and is easier for the official photographer to match rider to number"
The event village will feature a licenced bar, live music and a Pedros bike-lube area. This is in addition to full service and support from Mavic yellow cars, High 5 sports nutrition and For Goodness Shakes recovery drinks for finishers.
Verenti Bikes, who've had a presence at many sportives thus far, will also be displaying their 'sportive-specific' bike range.
