End of the first circuit and Jon Locke (Sports Beans/Willier) leads eventual winner Jake Durant (Mid Devon RC)

Rob Willcocks (Somerset RC/Bicycle Chain) stretches out the field covered by Jon Locke

It soon becomes apparent who’s controlling the leaders as again Jon Locke covers Rob Lyne (Giant CC/Giant) who tries to open a gap

Active throughout the race was Anthony O’Boyle (Cwmcarn Paragon/Dudleys/The Bike Cellar)

Left: Ben Simmons (Team Wiggle) forces the pace at the front of the leaders. Right:Jake Durant leads team mate Andy Hitchins around one of the 3 tight slippery corners which lead to a quite a few riders crashing out

Eventual 3rd Rob Lyne leads eventual 2nd Andy Hitchins

Jon Locke leads O’Boyle, Jake Durant and Rob Lyne along a damp and dark Paignton Seafront!!

Despite all his efforts Anthony O’Boyle had to settle for 7th place

Jake Durant wins the Paignton Reggata Criterium
