Event Overview

Welcome to this year's Summer evenings of racing at Carlisle Cycle Circuit hosted by Carlisle Cycling Association. The modern purpose built 1km closed circuit is easily accessible from junctions 42 and 43 of the M6 motorway.

The series will run over 14 Thursday evenings and each week will vary as we aim to provide something for everyone over the course of the series.

This week we have something a bit different. We start with a Cat 4 race also open to women of any Cat, and then there will be two short races for riders of any Cat - a handicap race and a mass start Crit with primes. There is one entry fee that covers both short races and Cat 4s and women can enter all 3 races for the bargain price of £15! However, we would advise inexperienced riders to stick to the Cat 4 race. Ask us for advice if you are unsure.

Online entry is preferred though entries on the night will be accepted at extra cost if there is space. Pre entry leads to a better race experience as it saves a lot of time and we are able to preallocate race numbers and transponders which helps the evening run smoothly. Please book online if at all possible. Contact the Association on carlislecyclingassoc@yahoo.com with any questions.

Non British Cycling licence holders are welcome to enter and an extra fee will be payable for a Day Licence. Day licence costs are included in the relevant online fees but need to be added to the "on the night" entry fee.

Please note that parking adjacent to the Circuit is limited to Race Officials and those with mobility problems. Other competitors should park either in the Sports Centre carpark or the carpark of the now demolished Community Centre.
