Many thanks to all those that have already entered and to the that didn't quite get on;
THE RESERVE LIST OPENS 1/2/16 AT 7.30PM FOR 40 ENTRANTS. We set this figure as realistically only this many drop out between now and June 11th.
This is a charity fund raising event in support of Norbury Primary School organised by mountain bikers and friends of the school.
This event is now in its fourth year and covers around 50km of excellent mountain biking terrain over the Long Mynd and surrounding areas taking in the best of 4000ft of challenging climbs and descents. Much of the route is over private land usually off limits to Mountain Bikers.
A mass start challenge event with no prizes for first place. The emphasis is all about riding the best bits of the Long Mynd’s natural trails at your own pace with plenty of strenuous climbs and technically demanding descents.
A good fitness level is required and off road handling skills.
£26 entry fee includes:
• Full route marking and marshalling
• Mechanical support and broom wagon
• Event centre facilities and parking
• On site catering with a fantastic tea tent and bar.
• Free BBQ for all participants
• Feed station on route
• Event photography
• Fabulous Spot prizes
• Ltd edition Batch Burner mug for all entrants
• £1 donation to the National Trust
Unfortunately British Cycling have increased their charges so there will be an additional £1 admin fee charged by British Cycling on top of our entry fee.

About the Event
Info for Riders
The Start and Finish are at Norbury Village Hall with 2 miles of lovely quiet country lanes to warm up before starting the first challenging climb up the Long Mynd. 4000ft foot of exciting descent does mean 4000ft of ascent taking in all the highlights of the Long Mynd and surrounding area much of which is over private land usually off limits to Mountain Bikers. Thanks must go to Plush Hill Cycles for designing the route and to the National Trust and local landowners and all our very generous sponsors who have enabled this event to take place. Over the last 3 years £23,000 has been raised thanks to the your generosity and all of this has gone to Norbury Primary School to improve the all round education of our young children. A huge thank you to you all. RESERVE LIST OPEN WITH ONLY 40 PLACES AVAILABLE. If you enter the reserve list, your entry fee will only be pending until you are accepted onto the event. A £1 admin fee to use this facility will be taken and is non refundable.

About the Event
Info for Riders
The Start and Finish are at Norbury Village Hall with 2 miles of lovely quiet country lanes to warm up before starting the first challenging climb up the Long Mynd. 4000ft foot of exciting descent does mean 4000ft of ascent taking in all the highlights of the Long Mynd and surrounding area much of which is over private land usually off limits to Mountain Bikers. Thanks must go to Plush Hill Cycles for designing the route and to the National Trust and local landowners and all our very generous sponsors who have enabled this event to take place. Over the last 3 years £23,000 has been raised thanks to the your generosity and all of this has gone to Norbury Primary School to improve the all round education of our young children. A huge thank you to you all. RESERVE LIST OPEN WITH ONLY 40 PLACES AVAILABLE. If you enter the reserve list, your entry fee will only be pending until you are accepted onto the event. A £1 admin fee to use this facility will be taken and is non refundable.
