Fforest Fields Caravan and Camping Park waits to welcome you on Sunday 18 May for Round 3 of the Welsh Mountain Bike XC Series in conjunction with the 2014 Welsh Mountain Bike XC Championships. The venue is 5 miles northeast of Builth Wells and has hosted many a national and regional mountain bike event over the years, all organised by John Lloyd MBE.

You will need your climbing legs but fast grassy tracks and flowing woodland single-track will give them a breather and, for those who are familiar with the venue, there are some new tracks through the woods for you to enjoy. The main course is about 5 km in length and, at its highest point, commands stunning views over the Radnorshire countryside; there will be short but testing courses for the U8s, U10s and U12s.

The event is promoted by John Lloyd Racing Events and Jay and Maddie of Fully Sussed Events will again be in attendance with their speedy results service and entertaining commentary.

For WMBS Round 3 enter online now, by post, or on the day in all categories. No British Cycling membership or racing licence is required.

If you wish to contest the Welsh Mountain Bike XC Championships you must pre-enter by Monday 12 May and hold a valid racing licence. Please refer to the Welsh Championship Regulations for eligibility criteria.

There is no Elite, Expert or Sport category in the Welsh Championships; these riders will be combined in the Senior category. Please enter your usual WMBS category and indicate on the pre-entry signing-on sheet if you wish and are eligible to contest the Welsh Championships. No rider entering on the day will qualify for the Welsh Mountain Bike XC Championships.
