Anne Adams-King, chief executive officer at Welsh Cycling said: “To host the Championships is an honour for Wales, with the next generation of Olympic and Commonwealth athletes competing here this summer.

Welsh riders have a successful history competing at national level, and we hope to see a number of riders from our clubs on the podium throughout the week. In addition, the event is hosted by Newport Live with volunteers from our cycling community, and we thank them for their continued support for cycling in Wales.

Whether you’re supporting from the sidelines, or watching at home we hope the championships inspire you to cycle.”

Spectators are welcome from 10.00am each day, and you can watch on Welsh Cycling’s Facebook page on Wednesday 2 August.

Reports and results will be available from British Cycling each day.
