The British Cycling National Track Championships take place this weekend at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, with an array of Welsh talent to look out for.

Lewis Oliva, Team USN, comes in to the event on-form, with recent success in Roubaix. The sprinter will look to challenge his British Cycling Olympic Podium Programme athletes in the individual events with the keirin his favoured event. Tom Scammell, Black Line, will also be looking to make an impression over the weekend in the sprint events, with NFTO’s Zac May and Joseph Wiltshire in the men’s endurance.

Abergavenny RC’s Becky James will be making her return to the Championships event, along with sister Rachel in the sprint events. Becky will pair with Victoria Williamson in the Team Sprint, as she continues to improve on her form after a long injury induced lay –off.

Elinor Barker, Matrix Fitness, and Ciara Horne, Pearl Izumi Sports Tours International, are ones to watch in the women’s endurance event. Horne will vie for the Team Pursuit national crown with Pearl Izumi Sports Tours International, while Barker will be looking for success in the individual events with younger sister Megan also in the mix. Team USN’s Manon Lloyd, Emily Nelson and Ellie Coster will also be challenging for the podium.
