Wales Junior Programme riders will compete at the British Cycling Junior Road Series, beginning with the Cadence Junior Road Race 2 April 2017 in Powys.

Four Junior men will compete in the opening round of the Series. Rhys Britton, Oscar Mingay, Sam Tillett and James Tillett will represent the Wales Junior Programme on home turf. The circuit at Three Cocks, Brecon is fast and narrow with some technical sections which will test the riders ability mentally, physically and tactically.

The following weekend, Wales Junior Programme riders will take part in the Screentek International Junior Tour of Mendips, a two-day stage race in the South West of England. Joseph Beckingsale will replace Rhys Britton in the line-up as the series continues. The two-day event includes a 6.4km Time Trial at Chew Valley Lake, with an afternoon road stage. The event concludes with an 80km road stage through the Mendip Hills.
