Preview: L'Etape de la Defonce

The L'Etape de la Defonce returns to the Vale of Glamorgan this weekend.

The two day three stage race takes place 18 and 19 July promoted by Cardiff 100 Miles Road Cycling Club for third and fourth category riders.

The race opens with a 7.1mile team time trial on Saturady morning, departing from the town of Cowbridge where teams will have to return via Crack Hill, which will test the riders.Saturday afernoon riders once again depart Cowbridge completing two laps of the main circuit, that passes through Ewenny, Ogmore-by-Sea and Wick before returning to Cowbridge for the finish.

Sunday, the third and final stage, will head north to Pontyclun for a 44.1mile road race on a lumpy course through the Welsh valleys, before returning to Cowbridge where the 2015 L'Etape de la Defonce winner will be crowned.
