Geraint Thomas returns to the roads this week with Team Sky for Paris-Nice, starting with the prologue on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas was last on the roads in January for the Tour Down Under, which he admits himself seems like a lifetime ago. Since then he has been on the track where he won silver for Great Britain in the Team Pursuit at the Track World Cup in February, in preparation for London 2012.

Writing on his website, Geraint confesses that his ‘road form’ isn’t fantastic at the moment, but as always he will give it everything. He will be supporting Team Sky’s Bradley Wiggins and Richie Porte, who are looking for victory in the race to the sun.

“I feel like a neo-pro again, that feeling of uncertainty and not quite knowing what to expect. I’m just really happy and motivated to get racing now! I’ve been enjoying my time on the track with the GB boys but racing is what gets us out of bed in the morning.”  Read more…
