Ystwyth Juniors and the West Wales Cycle Racing Team are co-hosts for the fourth and final round of this year’s Welsh Cross Country Mountain Bike Series on Sunday 31July, at a new venue to the northeast of Aberystwyth.

The venue is Allt Ddel, a wood situated between Bow Street and Penrhyncoch that is managed by Natural Resources Wales and has long been a playground for local mountain bikers. Registration and parking will be on adjacent fields belonging to Broncastellan Farm (SY23 3EE); access is off the unclassified road to Penrhyncoch.

The course is 4km in length and a mixture of woodland single-track and paths with steady climbs and descents, interesting but nothing too technical, so suitable for all abilities. Final series standings will be decided on the day (all four rounds to count) and trophies awarded but anyone is welcome to come along and race.

Series Standings

The course will be open for practice after 3pm on Saturday afternoon but please take care as there will be no marshals or first aid and you will be sharing the venue with the public i.e. dog walkers.

Entry is available online or on the day in all categories. No British Cycling membership or racing licence is required.
