Welsh Mountain Bike Cross-country Series confirmed for 2016

Welsh Cycling confirms the dates and venues for the 2016 Welsh Mountain Bike Cross-country Series, with the Welsh Cycling Mountain Bike Cross-country Championships to be held at Fforest Fields.

The 2016 series will comprise of four rounds coordinated by Welsh Cycling clubs and organisers.

The series opens at Coed Llandegla on Sunday 13 March, promoted by Dreigiau Coed y Brenin Dragons and Clwb Beicio Mynydd Dyffryn Conwy. The iconic trails of Llandegla will challenge competitors at the start of the series.

Round two moves to RWAS Showground, Llanelwedd on Sunday 17 April, promoted by Cycle-Tec. There will be short, sharp climbs and fast single track packed in to this punchy course making for an exciting round.

Round three will be held at Fforest Fields, Builth Wells on Sunday 8 May promoted by The Bulls. The event will also incorporate the 2016 Welsh Cycling Mountain Bike Cross-country Championships, on the classic course where champions will be crowned.

The series finale will take place on Sunday 31 July at promoted by West Wales Cycle Racing (Venue TBC).
