Welsh Cycling is looking for a team of young people, from across Wales, to help shape the future of youth cycling. As part of the Volunteer Network, the Youth Panel will be responsible for raising the profile of the youth cycling experience in Wales.
We are looking to recruit people aged 14-21 years, from all backgrounds. You don’t need to be a cyclist, just be enthusiastic about getting more young people involved and on their bikes.
As a member of our youth panel you will be invited to attend up to 4 workshops a year, where together you will:
- Review current youth cycling opportunities and events
- Put forward your own ideas on how we can improve our programmes
- Implement new opportunities for young people to get involved
As a thank you, we will offer you the opportunity to gain key transferrable skills through development training and represent the youth panel at selected Welsh Cycling Board meetings. We will also provide you with free taster sessions in the different cycling disciplines, your own Welsh Cycling Youth Panel kit, and contributions to travel expenses.
If you have the knowhow and creative spark to improve youth cycling in Wales, complete the form below and send a 60 second video telling us who you are and why you want to join our youth panel to Welsh Cycling on Facebook Messenger. Submit your videos by Wedensday 15 February.
