Christine Smith, 61, from Newport is a well-travelled cyclist who just loves the challenge of riding her bike.
Since taking up cycling eight years ago, Christine and her bike have been to Kenya, Cuba and China raising money for Women V Cancer.
“I am very proud to have cycled abroad and to have raised money for Women V Cancer. China was freezing, Kenya had a lot of hills but Cuba was amazing!
“My next challenge is Tanzania in 2016. I just love the freedom of being out on my bike.”
Christine had her first taste of Breeze at a Breeze Challenge event in England, which inspired her to become part of the Breeze Network in Wales, becoming one of the first Welsh Champions in October 2014.
“I want to teach more women how to love their bike, in a friendly group of like-minded ladies. It’s all about having fun and making new friends, whilst on the bike!”
Christine’s Breeze rides take place every Saturday in the summer, and every two weeks through the winter. Christine featured on ITV Wales earlier this month, take a look what to expect from a Breeze ride in Wales.
