The Road Safety Centre offers a wide range of road safety programmes from school crossing patrol training to mature driver refresher courses. The programmes have been developed for people to experience simulated real life situations by using driving simulators external traffic features such as pedestrian crossings, roundabouts and traffic signals.

Along with the 470m Cycle Track, Maindy centre also boasts modern additions to the Leisure facility include a larger gym, upgraded BMX track, state-of-the-art interactive studio, which contains Extreme Interactive bikes, touch sensitive dance mats.

Maindy Flyers - Youth Cycling Club

Maindy Cycle Track is also home to the Maindy Flyers Cycling Club, a club for children aged 5 to 16 years old. The Maindy Flyers started in December 1995 and grew from very few members to around 80 members currently. The club is involved in many types of cycling. These include racing bikes on the track or closed circuit, mountain biking, cyclo cross and fun days out for all the family. The club has developed a number of national and international champions in its 15 years of teaching and coaching youngsters.

Maindy Swimming Pool and Cycle Track was originally opened in 1993. More recently Maindy has expanded on its facilities. In June 2005 a new 56 station, state of the art Fitness Suite, Dance Studio and Lecture Room were opened, allowing Maindy to provide dry side activities.
