Manon Lloyd takes 8th in Redditch at round one of the Matrix Fitness GP Series for Team USN as Laura Trott took the win for Matrix Fitness.

In the opening round of the 2015 women's Matrix Fitness Grand Prix Series double Olympic Champion Laura Trott crossing the line first, outsprinting four fellow escapees led by fellow Olympic gold medallist Dani King.

The win wasn't enough to give Trott's Matrix Fitness team the series lead however, as third placed Nikki Juniper led a young Team Giordana Triton to the team win and series lead, plus the sprints jersey from the opening round.

Team USN's Manon Lloyd and Emily Kay both got caught in a crash in the early stages of the race. Lloyd picked up 3 points in the first sprint, and went on to finish 8th overall.
