The 2014 Welsh Mountain Bike XC Series moves north to the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground in Mid Wales for Round 2.
The event will be on Saturday 12 April as part of the Builth Wells Spring MTB Festival, a weekend of mountain biking promoted by the Cycle-Tec team and includes the Exposure Lights Big Night Out on Saturday night and the Scott MTB Marathon on Sunday.
The course is centred on the parking hill overlooking the showground and is surrounded by the classic mountain biking countryside in which John Lloyd MBE has hosted marathons since 1999. It is compact and punchy but features all the essential ingredients for a fun racing experience.
Jay and Maddie of Fully Sussed Events and the Strata Medical team will again be in attendance with first class commentary and results service and first aid respectively. And make sure you try the Penmincae Farm burgers, homemade using their own organic lamb and Welsh Black beef, and with freshly baked baps sourced from a local bakery.
Enter now online or on the day in all categories. No British Cycling membership or racing licence is required.
Why not make a weekend of it? There is camping with showers and toilets, an event village with trade stands, demo bikes, caterers and entertainment and a variety of marathon options for those with the energy for a weekend full of mountain biking action. Enter the Scott MTB Marathon Series before Friday 4 April and receive your own personalised number board.
