Two fantastic opportunities have arisen in South Wales to work in the cycling industry.
Newport City Council have an opportunity based at Wales National Velodrome as their Track Cycling Development Officer. While Swansea University have developed a new role for a Cycling Development Co-ordinator to operate in the city.

If you are dynamic, enthusiastic about increasing and developing Sport and Physical Activity and want to be at the forefront of change, this role is definitely for you.
You will be a pivotal member of the Business Development Team and will be based at the Wales National Velodrome, Newport International Sports Village.
A passion for and an excellent knowledge of Indoor Track Cycling is essential. You will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Newport Track Cycling Plan, based at the Wales National Velodrome, aimed at increasing participation, improving performance and delivering a World class training and competition environment.

This is a new position which will assist in the establishment of the Swansea Cycling Development Centre and will lead the administration and day to day operations of the Centre once established. The role will provide and monitor a community outreach programme (in line with Sport Wales community strategy), organise and promote competitive and non-competitive cycling events in the locale. Engagement with stakeholder organisations and local cycling clubs will be an integral part of the role developing relationships at local, regional and national level. The role will encompass a level of remote, autonomous work with a flexible outlook. Evening and weekend working will be required.
