Elinor Barker secures second silver medal at U23 European Track Championships

Elinor Barker secures a second silver medal, this time in the points race at the U23 European Track Championships in Anadia, Portugal.

Great Britain's Laura Trott claimed her second U23 European title of the competion, finishing 9 points ahead of Barker in the points race. 

Meanwhile, World Sprint Champion Becky James was unable to secure her second medal of the competition. She finished 6th in the Sprint event, where she had qualified 8th fastest. James faced French rider Olivia Montauban in the quarter finals, but was unable to secure a win. James' team sprint partner Victoria Williamson in 8th, together they won bronze in the Team Sprint on Wednesday.

In the men's points race, Owain Doull was Great Britain's only representative. He qualified sixth earlier in the day, with the top 10 going through to the finals. He finished 11th in the field of 20 riders in the 160 lap race.
