Welsh Cycling has appointed Iwan Doull to the Board of Directors for a one year term.

A partner in Cardiff-based legal firm, Berry Smith, Doull is appointed for his legal skills which will address a gap in the Board’s expertise.

A Deputy District Judge in the Civil Courts on the Welsh circuit, Doull is also a Board member of a charity that supports disadvantaged youths to obtain workplace training and life skills.

Speaking of his appointment he said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Welsh Cycling at this time. There is a great deal happening in the sport right now and I hope that my legal background will help the Board’s decision-making in the year ahead.”

Chairman Nick Smith said: “We’re really pleased to have Iwan on board. His legal skills were a perfect match for our requirement. We are now well on the way to achieving the right balance of skills, experience and knowledge across the Board.”
