Report: Welsh Cycling

A message from the Board of Welsh Cycling regarding social media:

The Board of Directors of Welsh Cycling is aware that several comments have recently been posted on social media sites regarding staff and volunteers of Welsh Cycling.

The impact of these comments has, in some cases, been significant and far-reaching. The Board is taking the issue seriously and is working closely with British Cycling to monitor the situation and develop a social media policy. This policy will be adopted in the new year. In the meantime, we would like to advise all our members that comments made on social media are, in most cases, public and attributable to the author. Inappropriate comments are covered by libel laws, so please be very careful what you post.

If you have any further concerns, please contact the Welsh Cycling office.
