East Newport Cycle Speedway were once again on their travels this past weekend, this time away to Sandwell Lions. This was the Club's 4th premier league match of the season, and after suffering 2 defeats already the team knew they had to be at their best to bring the league points back to Wales first ever premier league side.
From the off the Black Country side were firing on all cylinders and in total bagged in 8 heat advantages to East Newport's 5 in this 18 heat encounter to record their 2nd win of the season 96 - 82.
All the East Newport 8 rode with great passion with a joint man of the match performance coming from Craig Nethercott & Chris Davies.
