Join us for a one-day conference for practitioners involved in the implementation of the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 on Thursday 16 February at Yr Hen Lyfrgell, Cardiff.

The Active Travel Conference 2017 will equip practitioners who are involved in the implementation of the Active Travel Act with best practice tools and knowledge. It will also connect professionals in other sectors who have shared aims or where there are co-benefits, by offering a mix of practical and strong evidence focus.

Local authorities also have a duty to promote active travel and this event will support them in doing so; there will be an opportunity to discuss latest evidence, learn from practical examples, try out and discuss tools that they are encouraged to use and get a more in-depth understanding of guidance available.

There will be a plenary session in the morning, including a keynote from Rebecca Evans AM, Minister for Social Services and Public Health, followed by a range of workshops in the afternoon. The conference will be chaired by Welsh Cycling's chief executive officer, Anne Adams-King.

The conference is free to attend, but pre-registration is required.
