Crowning her comeback season, Jo Tindley (VC St Raphael) claimed her first senior track title with victory in the women’s national 800 metres championship at the Heckington Show grass meeting in Lincolnshire.

The Stroud 25-year-old, who took a complete break from competition between 2007 and 2011, secured the gold medal ahead of Melissa Bury (Champion System-Maxgear) and Jodie Brumhead (Cottingham Coureurs).

Richard Meadows (Velo29) chalked up an 8-km scratch race and devil double in the supporting races which also saw wins for Rowan Elliott (VC St Raphael), Lewis Meadows (Cottingham Coureurs) and John McClelland (Prestige VC).
