The excitement is mounting for this Saturday’s Revolution Series in Manchester, with possibly the best rider line up in the event’s history.

Appearances from British stars Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Ed Clancy, Alex Dowsett, Matt Crampton and David Daniell, as well as European big hitters Iljo Keisse and Franco Marvulli, have ensured a mad scramble for tickets with every seat in the National Cycling Centre sold.

With this level of talent on display, it is little surprise that demand for tickets has exceeded supply. However, the good news for those who missed out is that ITV4 will be broadcasting an hour’s highlights on Monday 21st November at 19.00. The programme will also be made available on ITV Player shortly after broadcast.

Those lucky enough to secure tickets will be treated to the rare thrill of World Road Race Champion Mark Cavendish racing the track, a sight not seen for over two years. Although unlikely to be fazed, Cav will face stiff competition in the Championship endurance races in the form of Olympic Champions Clancy and Thomas, as well as his other soon-to-be Sky teammates Dowsett and Kennaugh. Keisse and Marvulli will be adding some continental talent to the stellar line up, with Keisse in winning form on the back of victories in the Amsterdam and Grenoble Six Days as well as Madison gold at the recent European Track Championships.

In the sprint competition, Team GB’s brightest stars will go head to head in a unique sprint Omnium - a first for Revolution. Crampton, recently crowned European Keirin Champion, looks like favourite on paper in the four-stage event but David Daniell and Pete Mitchell will have other ideas. Daniell is in the form of his life, outpacing everyone bar Sir Chris Hoy in the recent National Championships and with Mitchell also hoping to make an impact in the run up to Olympic selection, the contest is going to be fierce.

The remaining two rounds in the Series take place at Manchester’s National Cycling Centre on Saturday 7th and 28th January. Although selling fast, standard and VIP tickets are still available for these events - details can be found at www.cyclingrevolution.com
