British Gold in Masters Track Champs

Day 2:

In the Individual Pursuit, Britain's best result came from Stephen Davies who added to his growing collection of Gold medals with victory in the Men's 55-59 age group. There were also three winners of Bronze medals in the Pursuit with Brian Dacey (Mens 70-74 ), Peter Ettles (Mens 45-49) and Timothy Lawson (Mens 40-44). In the Women's event, the best result by a British rider was 4th for Christine Higgs (Womens 50-54).

Day 1:

The championships kicked off with the sprint time trials and a rider no stranger to winning World Masters Sprint titles is Dave LeGrys and he added another to his tally with Gold and a Worlds best in the 50-54 category for the 500 metre TT. In the next category up, 55-59, Stephen Davies won the bronze medal whilst in the 65-69 category, Geoff Cooke won yet another World Masters Gold medal. Finally, Ivor Reid won a bronze in the 45-49 category and Roland Crayford was second in the 70-74 category.
