Women's Team Pursuit GB style -- twice World Champions!

This will give riders who competed in the previous evening's 30 km Points Race a chance to recover and prepare properly for this new event. With the first round of the World Cup being held at the Manchester Velodrome the following week, this gives domestic based teams a chance to show what they can do against the worlds best team, and how many sports can you get to do that in? Not Football, Rugby, Cricket, Motor Racing, Athletics …. Well apparently none that I can think of ?

So girls, get training together, work on those half and one lap changes, and show the country and all those full time riders what you can do.

Womens Team Pursuit is made up of three riders, rather than four as per the men, with rider one starting from an electronic timing gate, the other two held by officials, and the distance is 3000 metres (12 laps of Manchester or Newport) with the time taken from the second rider across the line.
