Tickets for the 2019-2020 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup at Glasgow’s Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome will go on sale exclusively to British Cycling members today.
Members have a ten-day priority window to purchase tickets for the event, which will take place between November 8 and 10 and represent the final chance to see British track riders compete in national kit on home soil before Tokyo 2020.
Tickets will then go on general sale on Wednesday 20 February.
British Cycling’s Commercial Director, Jonathan Rigby, said:
“We’re delighted to once again be able to offer our members priority access to a prestigious international event. As we saw at the London round of the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup last month, our members – and cycling fans in general – are hugely knowledgeable and passionate, and can create a truly memorable atmosphere.
“That atmosphere benefited the Great Britain Cycling Team in London, and I’m sure will do so again in Glasgow, at a time when our riders will have Tokyo 2020 very firmly in their sights and will be bidding to build momentum as they go into an Olympic year.”
November’s event will be the second of six rounds of the 2019-2020 series, leading up to the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Berlin, and next summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games in Japan.
The event will represent the first time the series has visited Glasgow since 2016, when home favourite Katie Archibald thrilled the Scottish crowd in the wake of her Olympic gold medal win in Rio.
Last summer, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome hosted the track events at the UEC European Championships, at which Great Britain won four gold, three silver and three bronze medals..British Cycling Member’s priority window will be live from 10:00 Thursday 7 February until 23:59 Sunday 17 February.
