Planning for the 2019 BC National Youth Track Omnium is now well underway.

The key news is that the 2019 competition regulations incorporate some adjustments to the format of the girls competition. While the boys competition will continue to be split into 6 area groups, the girls competition will now be split into 3 area groups. This will bring together a greater number of female riders for more competitive and exciting racing. Each female rider will still be able to ride up to 4 races within their groups, the same number as the boys.

These rule revisions still limit the need for riders to travel excessively to compete whilst not splitting siblings to different venues on the same day to any great degree.

Those facilities not allocated Under 16/Under 14 Girls competition are encouraged to run events for younger youth riders categories and others within their meetings.

Weekends allocated to the Youth Track Omnium Group Competitions for 2019 are as follows- 13-14 April, 27-28 April, 11-12 May and 18-19 May. The Finals and National Championships will be run in Manchester on 21st July.
