Olympic champion Elinor Barker and Madison pairing Mark Stewart and Ollie Wood put in stunning performances as the Great Britain Cycling Team topped the medal table at the Tissot UCI Track World Cup in Apeldoorn on Sunday.
Barker - part of the victorious British team pursuit quartet in Rio - secured gold in the women’s points race with a dominant display which saw her gain a lap on the field and consistently challenge during the sprints to win by six points from Japan’s Minami Uwano.
"I'm very, very happy with how today went," Barker said.
"It was a tough race with some really strong riders racing - including Emily Nelson, who gave everyone a hard time! That is probably the best I've ever performed in a points race tactically, so I'm very proud of that."

Jarmila Machacova of the Czech Republic completed the podium places, while there was an impressive fourth-place finish for young Briton Emily Nelson, riding in Team Breeze colours in the Netherlands this weekend, who was one of six other riders to gain a lap.
Later on in the session, Stewart and Wood clinched a bronze medal in the Madison with a crucial second-place in the final sprint of the race - the six points they earned in the double-points dash to the line saw them leap-frog Switzerland to claim a fantastic third.

During the morning session, Barker’s fellow Rio medallist Katy Marchant unfortunately had to withdraw from the women’s sprint at the 1/16 finals stage due to illness.
In the same event, Rachel James reached the quarter-final stage, where she was beaten by Olena Starikova of the Ukraine.
Two of Great Britain’s medallists from the first day of competition in Apeldoorn were back in action today, as Chris Latham took part in the first new-look men’s omnium event of the World Cup programme, while team sprint hero Joe Truman rode in the keirin.
Following 11th and 12th-place finishes in the scratch and tempo races earlier in the day, Latham put himself in the mix with an excellent third in the elimination race.
A strong points race followed, but the podium places remained just out of the British youngster’s reach, as he eventually finished in fifth with 88 points. Gold was won by Szymon Sajnok of Poland.

Meanwhile, Truman got his keirin campaign off to the perfect start by winning his heat, but he was unable to advance past the second round and ended up with a tenth-place finish to his name.
Team USN’s Lewis Oliva made the final and crossed the line in second place, but was later relegated due to an infringement. The Czech Republic’s Tomas Babek won gold.
Barker’s triumph and Stewart and Wood’s last-gasp bronze this afternoon mean that Great Britain finish the weekend with two gold, two silver and one bronze medals - Truman, Ryan Owens and Jack Carlin won the men’s team sprint on Friday, while Latham and Emily Kay each picked up a silver in the men’s scratch race and women’s omnium respectively.
