Sweetspot the organisers of the both the OVO Energy Tour of Britain and OVO Energy Women’s Tour have confirmed the dates for 2019.

The 2019 Tour of Britain will take place from Sunday 8 to Sunday 15 September, across eight days of racing, and the Women's Tour will take place from Monday 10 to Saturday 15 June.

Yes, that's right: in addition to next year's race - the sixth edition of Britain's leading UCI Women's WorldTour multi-day event - is increasing from five days to six, and will move to a new, weekday-focused position.

Team Sunweb's Coryn Rivera became the first non-European rider to claim the OVO Energy Green Jersey when she dominated this year's race, and planning is already underway into designing the stages during which the 2019 title battle will be contested.

Planning is also ongoing following an incredible 15th edition of the men’s Tour of Britian, which saw Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Floors) beat Team Sky's Wout Poels to the Green Jersey, where British Cycling documented the thrilling race through the 'Inside the Tour' video series.

Full details of both races will be revealed at our National Launch in Spring 2019, although we recommend keeping your eyes peeled for some exciting announcements before then!
