Burgess Hill Rumble

Date: 30th August 2009

The 2nd Running of the Burgess Hill Rumble Cyclosportive has a slight change of format to its inaugural event, instead of 3 rides there will be 4 rides to make sure all abilities are catered for. All riders will be timed by SPORTident with all entrants final times shown on the website.

The four rides are:

THE CLASSIC:
The Classic is a cyclosportive ride of 95 miles (153 km) which passes over climbs such as Kidds Hill and Yorks Hill. The course is one of if not the hardest cyclosportive in the South East of the UK and will prove a great test for experienced riders as they travel over some of the biggest hills in the Weald area. There is over 1971 meters of climbing on this cyclosportive. The 4 feed stations on this ride along with a broom wagon will ensure all riders return to the Event Headquarters .

THE CHALLENGE:
A ride of 65 miles ( 105 km ) which also takes riders over Kidds Hill is a sporting course with 1378m of climbing. The route will challenge the fitness and determination of all the riders taking part. There will be three feed stations on this ride.

THE TOUR:
A ride of 43 miles ( 68 km ) for those that want to tackle some of the hills but don€™t want to ride too many miles. There is one feed station on this ride which might be needed after climbing the notable Cob lane climb just before the feed station.

THE KERMESSE:
A ride of 20 miles around the local area of Burgess Hill. This ride is for those that have an aversion to gravity and who require a more relaxed ride but still want to take part in the Burgess Hill Rumble. This ride is an excellent opportunity to raise money for the designated charity for this event the Sussex Heart Charity http://www.sussexheartcharity. org/

All the routes will be comprehensively marked with Technical and first aid support available en-route. A broom wagon will ensure that all riders return to the HQ. All riders that finish the rides will receive a goody bag and a free meal will be available to riders after their ride.
