End 2 End Challenge
John O'Groats to Land's End cycle ride
Date: 22nd - 29th August 2009
About the Event
The End 2 End Challenge is a 874 mile marathon from John O'Groats to Lands End organised by Rugby's charity Wooden Spoon.
It is a real test of stamina for individual cyclists, but it is well worth the effort because it affords participants a unique view of the wonderful British countryside. Each Challenger pledges to raise 2,500GBP to support Wooden Spoon's work and can count on a comprehensive back-up team for energy-boosting meals, overnight accommodation and a resident massage therapist to ease aching limbs at the end of each day.

- Day 2 - Inverness to Glenfarg - 126 miles

The economic outlook may be gloomy, but Wooden Spoon says helping people less fortunate than ourselves remains a priority for many of us. Rugby's charity is reporting record level entries for its 2009 Spoon Challenges, a series of events generating funds to help disabled and disadvantaged children and young people by giving them the chance to achieve their full potential in life.
