Following last year’s successful ride the Fakenham 50 non-competitive sportive is taking place on 24 August.

This inclusive ride will encourage local people to give it a go as well as catering for more experienced riders. Leaving from the Community Centre and Garden the circuits go through quiet north Norfolk country lanes with gentle slopes.

Organiser Richard Crook, is working with Active Fakenham, the local club East Coast Riders and Trevor Brown from the Thirteen3 mountain bike team to deliver this ride through some beautiful north Norfolk countryside.

Richard said, “We had great feedback from last year’s ride and have made some minor adjustments to the routes to make it even better.”

The four rides range from 14 to 75 miles. Start between 09.00 and 11.00. There will be technical support, a rescue service, British Cycling personal liability insurance, refreshment stops, signage and a post ride event with food, music and bar. Each rider will receive a pack with useful information and equipment.

This year we are pleased to team up with the charity, the Environmental Investigation Agency.
