Calling all cyclists!

Do you want to:

  • Support a really great charity?
  • Know your entry money is going somewhere really worthwhile?
  • Make a difference to lives in the community?

Future Living is a newly formed charity providing a free to access and self referring daily therapy service to clients with the illness of addiction all addictions, not just the obvious ones. We initiate real change in our clients’ lives and are staffed totally by qualified volunteers so none of your money goes on salaries, it pays our running costs.

The work Future Living is doing is helping local communities and families. Addiction doesn't just impact the individuals but also their families and particularly children. We hold therapy groups for families as well as individuals to help them through the hard times, it’s hard to watch a loved one in addiction, so they need help too.

The sportive routes have been planned for us by a highly experienced, local cyclist so you can be sure that all the best local roads are included! The route will be signed and GPS files and printed maps made available via our website. All riders must ride within the requirements of the Highway Code, wear a helmet and not have tri bars fitted to their bike. There will be a feed station on each route with fresh fruit, energy bars and drinks, plus water.

At the finish there will be a goody bag for each entrant containing a voucher towards after-ride food, and other bits and pieces - we have a BBQ and lots of other food on offer.

If the family want to join you then there is a fun day on site at County Hall in Hertford from 10am, lasting the whole day with great activities for the whole family. There's a kids bike race so bring their bikes too, a dog show which means the family dog could come and enter some fun classes.

There’s a fire engine and police vehicle for the kids, lots of food, BBQ, music, games - a great day for all.

We do hope you will support us on this Great Cycle Challenge for a terrific cause, the only cycle sportive supporting an addiction charity.
