Sussex Highs and Lows sportive
Event: 22 September 2013
If you are looking for a well organised sportive with the added bonus of the chance to accept the Lows and celebrate the Highs then why not sign up today?
We are very lucky to have some really great event partners who are supporting us in lots of ways.
Our bike specialist partners, Mr Cycles, will be offering 2 for 1 on tubes and energy products in their Seaford store which is also the first stop on both routes.
They will also be providing a repair kit for all entrants just in case you have any punctures on route.
And best of all, Mr Cycles, have very kindly donated three bike service vouchers that will be hidden in three of the finishers goody bottles, so who knows if you're signed up this year you could win yourself a free service regardless of however long it takes you.
We're also absolutely chuffed to have the very friendly and supportive Studio57 Clinic as our latest event partner. Studio57 Clinic will be supporting cyclists on the day with pre and post massage, taping and stretching and anything else they may need from onsite physios and sports therapists. All they ask in return is a charitable donation that will be split equally between our two charity partners, Pass It On Africa and The Martlets Hospice.
You can also enjoy this year's sportive safe in the knowledge that our medical support event partner WANT medical services will be following the cyclists as they ride round. They are very generously providing all their services to us free of charge which makes a very big difference to us.
The Sussex Highs and Lows sportive provides riders with the choice of two challenging courses one of which that has approx 500 metres of ascent and some tough climbs with a "map my ride" difficulty rating of five!
Two courses both with genuinely stunning scenery that take in the rural beauty of the South Downs, the imposing Sussex coastline, a large horse and an even larger giant.
The sportives raison de'etre is to support as many charities and cycling clubs as possible by offering a case of red wine as a prize to the biggest club or group represented on the day!
The event is backed by a number of philanthropic businesses who have all donated a top prize to encourage people to fundraise, for whoever or whatever causes fires them up. So what are you waiting for, round up the troupes and enter here today!
What to expect
Food and drink stops will welcome you with homemade cakes, mechanical support and most importantly a smile, which after rain, wind or punctures can make all the difference to the success of your ride.
If some or all of the above are on your Sportive tick sheet and you fancy being a pioneer this year by helping us create a fun and inclusive new event, then why not sign up today and get involved today!
