Event: 22 June 2013

Do you want to test your physical ability? Push your endurance to the next limit? Prove that you have what it takes to match Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and Lizzie Armitstead? Then get on your bike and join the CARE Etape Surrey Cycle Challenge supported by CITY A.M!

The event is a unique way to experience two of the UK’s biggest professional cycling races - the route incorporates highlights of both the Tour of Britain and the London 2012 Olympic Road Race. You will take on the legendary Box Hill, conquer two of the Tour of Britain King of Mountain stages (90 mile route) and experience some of the most scenic country roads in the south east of England, all while raising money to help people find routes out of poverty.

The sportive provides the option of either a 65 mile or a 90 mile route depending on how far you want to push yourself. Organised by the CARE International’s Challenge Team, who have over 17 years’ experience running charity challenges, you are guaranteed a fantastic day of cycling.

On the challenge you will receive:

  • Marked route & directions
  • Marshals on route
  • Medics and support staff
  • Third party event insurance from British Cycling
  • 2 refreshment stops (refreshments will be provided at the first stop and lunch will be provided at the second stop)
  • Training and fundraising support from a dedicated member of the CARE Challenge team

“It was a very enjoyable day and superbly organised. I’ve done a lot of events like this and can honestly say it was one of the best organised events I have participated in”.
