Entries for the Etape du Dales, a 112 mile sportive in the Yorkshire Dales, raising money for the open Monday 21 January at 7pm.

Set up in 1996 in memory of the late Dave Rayner, the Dave Rayner Fund aims to assist ambitious riders to make a successful career from cycle racing on the continent of Europe and the sportive offers the chance for the two biggest fundraisers to attend the annual dinner.

Since its inception in 1996, the fund has helped riders including Bradley Wiggins, Josh Edmondson, Nikki Harris, Dani King and David Millar to achieve their dreams of racing at the highest level.

And while non-competitive, the Etape du Dales will offer plenty of personal challenge, over an extremely difficult 112 mile ride that requires an excellent level of fitness. It takes in the major climbs in the Yorkshire Dales and that means steep and technical descents as well.

Certificates will be awarded reflecting the nature of the ride - Gold inside 7 hours, Silver inside 8 hours, Bronze - all finishers

Online entry available through the British Cycling event homepage.
