Nikki Wilson, Head of Wings for Life commented:

“So many of us take our mobility for granted and we don’t think twice about taking part in sports like running, cycling and swimming. Yet for thousands of people living with a spinal cord injury, their lack of mobility is limiting and it dramatically changes their lives. At Wings for Life, we want to reduce the impact of an injury so that mobility can be restored. By supporting us at Festival of Sport you’re helping to make that happen – thank you.”

Will Greenwood, Ex-England Rugby International & participant at the festival said:

“It’s not every day that I’m given the chance to compete in a sporting event as unique as The Festival of Sport. Not only do you get to experience the beautiful surroundings of Cornwall but you are also being given the chance to raise funds for an important cause. As a Rugby player, I know the impact that spinal cord injury can have on people’s lives and I hope that through this festival, Wings for Life will further the progress towards their goals.”

Darren Roberts, Head of High Performance at Red Bull and coach for Wings for Life triathlon participants said:

“Everyday through my work with Red Bull athletes, I see people pushing their body to extremes. Triathlons are a great way to test yourself – three very different disciplines requiring a committed training regime. Get it right and you’ll have the time of your life. I’m proud to be supporting the Wings for Life triathlon squad in their preparations for the Festival of Sport and I will support them all to achieve their personal goals.”
