Wiggle Super Series French Revolution Sportive
Event: 19 August 2012

Wiggle and UK Cycling Events are heading to France for the Wiggle Super Series French Revolution Sportive which heads from the Dover ferry port to the stunning coast of northern France.

In true Wiggle Super Series fashion, this brand new event will have a great user-friendly approach to organization - arranging the ferry, the parking and marking out easy-to-follow routes. There will be two routes to choose from: the epic (74 miles) and standard (55 miles).

The ride runs along the North Coast and the National Park, taking in the fabulous traffic-free roads.

A seven mile, completely flat stretch along to Sangatte is followed by some hills as you pass the stunning Mont d’Hubert and Cap Blanc Nez with forts and bombing creators on one side and the white cliffs of Dover on the other.

You will then cycle inland to the Fôret Domaniale de Guînes where Epic riders will climb their way up the Mont d’Licques. After this it’s back to the coast, passing Mont Duez, Mont de la Louve and Wissant en route. The final challenge of the day will come in the form of Mont d’Hubert, neatly followed by another flat seven mile stint. Finally ending on the ferry with your goody bag, where you can enjoy refreshments / showers etc.

A valid passport is required and luggage limited to one small rucksack, which will be store as you ride the route. There are only 450 places and any sportive that kicks off with a mini-cruise across the Channel, a croissant and a coffee is likely to sell out fast!
