Entries are now live for the 2012 Wiggle Flatout in the Fens cyclosportive, the longest single day event on the UK sportive calendar.

Now in its 4th year, Wiggle Flatout in the Fens remains the longest and flattest single day sportive in the UK. The event has gone from strength to strength as more riders recognise the altogether different challenge and test their mettle on either the 150+ mile route, 112 Ironman ‘triathlon’ route or the 77 mile route.

The event takes place around the time of the longest day, giving riders plenty of time to finish the longest sportive in Britain. With the event headquarters located in Peterborough, the route takes a complete tour around the Fens. This is a different challenge and former Flatout veterans will admit that the challenge isn’t just about the distance - even though it’s the flattest sportive around, it’s ‘the’ tough ride when it comes to endurance. With virtually no climbing at all, Wiggle Flatout in the Fens demands constant pedalling for the duration - finishers cross the line with a fantastic sense of achievement. In 2011 over 650 riders took part. With word now rapidly spreading, the organisers are gearing up for even more in 2012!
