“Get your entries in fast - only 100 places left!” That's the message from Spin Events, organisers of the Lionheart Cyclosportive on 17 February with the event just a month away.

They have doubled their rider capacity to 1200 for their second event - supported this year by top cycling brands Endura & Trek - but are keen to point out that entries are on the cusp of closing, with less than 100 left. They have seen a 100% increase on female entries this year, underlining the explosion in British cycling at this grass roots level.

Event organiser, Emma Slevin, is thrilled “It’s fantastic news and really encouraging to know that there will be plenty of female grit and determination out on both courses at this year’s event. Riders can expect the same high standards as 2011. An honest ‘value-for-money’ sportive, with mechanical back-up, well stocked feed stations, and NEG motorcycle outriders offering reassurance along the way. This is a beautiful part of South West England and our aim is to give every rider a memorable day out, whatever the weather.”

What are you waiting for? Get your biking season off to a roaring start and join them for a Spin.
