Event: 7 July 2012
Location: Stockton Riverside
Entries Open Thursday 1st December 2011 - First 100 entries just £15

The Velo29 Endeavour Sportive is back for a second year and entries for the 7 July event are now open.

2011 was the first running of this exciting new Sportive, with over 300 riders enjoyed the challenging three routes heading out of Stockton on Tees and across the North Yorkshire Moors in what was one of the wettest July weekends in history!

2012 sees the routes retained with an addition of a 35 mile non challenge route for those who found the 25% climb to Captain Cook's Monument a little too hard! Of course the existing short route with climb, gated road and rapid descent is still available for the brave.

The 95 mile route takes in the infamous Rosedale Chimney, with its 33% switch backs, one of the hardest climbs in the UK.

All four routes (35, 35 non challenge, 65 and 95 miles) take in beautiful roads across the North Yorkshire Moors, these are some of the north's most scenic roads, especially when graced with 100's of cyclists!

The depart in Stockton is under a closed road escorted start. Out on course there is Neutral Service to look after any mechanicals, there are feed Zones on all routes, electronic timing chips and all routes are downloadable for GPS mapping.

The Sportive is part of the Velo29 Stockton Cycling Festival which this year includes the OTR Elite Criterium - part of the National Crit Series, and the headline event, the Velo29 Grand Prix Premier Calendar Race. All the UK's top riders will be here and during the Saturday will be out on the Sportive course warming up for the race. It's a great opportunity to ride with the professionals or make a weekend of the event and watch the highest level of UK racing.

Entries are now open and the first 100 are available at £15, these are going fast!! Full details are available at www.velo29events.com.
