Pendleton Gets Ready for Cycletta

Ladies with pedal power get ready to cycle with Olympic Star and Cheshire Girl Victoria Pendleton

Olympic Gold Medallist Victoria Pendleton recently visited the stunning Tatton Park, continuing her support of Cycletta, a series of women only bikes rides.

The Cycletta series consists of two cycling events in 2011, one of which will start and finish at Tatton Park on Sunday 2nd October and take place on a 40km route, through safe roads where Victoria often cycles as part of her relentless training regime. Cyclists of all abilities will join Victoria, many of whom will be raising money for good causes including Lead Charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

Olympic Gold Medallist Victoria Pendleton, the driving force behind Cycletta, has encouraged all ladies to take to the saddle and join in as a great way to keep fit and enjoy her favourite sport:

"Through Cycletta I want to inspire women to join me and cycle - as a hobby, a sport, a way to get fit and healthy or a way to escape. Whatever your reasoning, cycling can improve your life and Cycletta events will bring women of all abilities together to take on their own cycling challenge."

Cycletta is also working in tandem with Sky Ride and British Cycling to encourage more women onto bikes and currently 75% of entries into Cycletta are new to cycling events which is a fantastic start. To join Victoria and the other women on wheels, visit www.cycletta.co.uk
