Team USN are pleased to announce that both Jon Mould and Lewis Oliva will be competing at Round Two of the UCI Track World Series in Glasgow this weekend.

Mould, who won a bronze medal in round one of the Track World Cup in Colombia last month, will be competing in the Scratch Race. European Team Sprint medallist Lewis Oliva will compete for team USN for the first time in the Men’s Sprint and Keirin events.

Team USN have unfortunately withdrawn their entry in the Women’s Team Pursuit event this weekend due to rider illness.

However, Team USN rider Elinor Barker has been called upon to represent Great Britain, replacing injured Olympic champion Joanna Rowsell in the Women’s Team Pursuit, riding alongside both Laura Trott and Dani King.

Team USN manager, Matt Cosgrove said: “Lewis Oliva is a great addition to the team for round two of the Track World Cup Series. Following his performance for Great Britain at the European Track Championships, Lewis is now taking the next step to compete on the world stage with Team USN. Jon Mould, who performed brilliantly to win bronze in Cali will also be looking to build on his performance as we head to Glasgow for what we know will be a more competitive event.

It is unfortunate that the Women’s Team Pursuit squad cannot compete together in Glasgow having won silver in Cali, but illness and injury is part of the sport and something we could not prevent. For Elinor, the opportunity to ride for Great Britain will only benefit her career as a cyclist and is an experience which will also be advantageous to Team USN as the intention will be for her to partner again with Amy Roberts and Ciara Horne in preparation for round three in Mexico.”
