If you've been inspired by Welsh riders at this weekend's Glasgow Track World Cup, there is still time to get a taste for cycling as defending Welsh Champions take to the boards for more track action in Newport on Saturday.

Riders will compete at The Welsh Open Omnium Championships, taking place on Saturday 24 November at the popular Newport Velodrome from 10.30am - 4.30pm.

Spectators are encouraged to come along and soak up some of the excitement.

The event will comprise scratch, dash and points racing, and with title holders including Gerry Bowditch looking to defend their titles, it promises plenty of adrenalin.

It will also see some of Wales’ next generation of young stars take to the boards. A Youth Open Madison is included in the event line-up, offering an exciting chance for youth riders to showcase their skills in a Youth A/B race or a Youth B/C race.

Entries are now closed and a programme will be available shortly. Racing starts at 10.30am.
