Unfortunately at this time we are not taking on any more MBLA Tutors. We are currently in a transitional phase with MBLA and British Cycling, creating new courses and we need to define what the tutor application process will be.
The current MBLA scheme will continue with the exisiting tutors deliverying the courses
How can I contact an MBLA Tutor?
If you are interested in doing an MBLA course please check the MBLA Courses Programme. All enquiries about a specific course should be made to the Tutor who is tutoring.
What is an MBLA Tutor?
All MBLA Tutors are registered with Scottish Cycling and are qualified to run and assess, as a minimum, MBLA Trail Cycle Leader training courses and assessments. An MBLA Tutor is an appointed position in agreement with Scottish Cycling and the MBLA Committee.
How do I become an MBLA Tutor?
Aspiring MBLA Tutors must hold a Mountain Bike Leader award and are expected to have experience of leading, coaching and/or instructing in at least one outdoor activity. They should be prepared to submit an outline business plan at the time of application to become a Candidate Tutor.
