The Abergavenny Womens Cycling Team have sent us details of their 2012 line-up. The team will be riding the Rás na mBan, Ireland's international stage race, the Womens National Team Series: in both cases their goal is to be the top team. They will also be chasing wins at National level.

They also aim to become one of the most successful Women’s teams in the UK, with team-members ambitious to compete for their countries on an International level. They also have a wider aim to raise the profile of female cycling throughout the UK and further afield.

Team rider Lauren Creamer said "This year the team sees a couple of familiar faces mixed with plenty of fresh, raring to go riders! Once again the team will target both the Womens British National Road Race Series and the Womens Team Series. New for the team’s schedule in 2012 however, is the addition of the Johnson Health Tech Women's GP Series. The series consists of five races around the UK based on a closed road race circuit."
