Location: Coed Llandegla, Llandegla
Event: 17 August 2011

Forty eight riders tackled the blue route at Coed Llandegla seeking to discover if June's best time of 28 minutes and four seconds was beatable.

Ben Price (Torq Performance) was fastest on the night coming within a handful of seconds the previous best time. Welsh Grand Vet's Champion Tony Blackwell stormed through the field to take second place, one minute 44 seconds behind. At the other end of the field Ben Gray battled his way around with some impressive war wounds to show for his evening out in the forest.

After being in charge of the stop watch at the previous two events whilst recovering from a broken leg Rhian Pierce (Rhyl CC) made a victorious return to competition in the solo women's event.

Other's receiving awards on the night were:

Most improved rider: Justin Hughes
Most improved team: Nigel & Nick Clark (Alf Jones Cycles)
Most 'experienced' rider: Steve Collen (Coed Llandegla North Wales Mountain Bike Association)

Many thanks go to the following for their help and support: UPM Tilhill, One Planet Adventure, Rhian Pierce, Adrian Walls, Geoff Pierce and Tony Blackwell.

British Cycling would like to thank the organising team, officials and everyone else who helped promote this event. Our sport could not exist without the hundreds of people, many of them unpaid volunteers, who put in many hours of hard work running events, activities and clubs.
