ScottishPower Youth Tour of Scotland 2015

The ScottishPower Youth Tour of Scotland is back by popular demand

following the very successful 2013 Race. Scottish Cycling, in

partnership with ScottishPower and Perth & Kinross council will be

overseeing the running on the event, which will take place between

5th-8th April 2014. The event is open to teams who will compete over

4 stages in and around the fair city of Perth.

Road Eventsroad

 An exciting series of closed road circuit races spread across Scotland.Road Racing beginners usually find their feet in easier events and there's no better place to start than Circuit Race meetings. These events often have several races catering for a range of abilities and age groups and are an ideal environment in which to learn the bike handling and tactical skills necessary to succeed, without the additional stress of being on the public highway

BMX                                                                                                                   BMX Events

BMX racing is an extremely exciting sport open to riders of all ages, making it great fun for all the family. Up to eight riders race, Moto-Cross-style, around a 300-400m track, with jumps, bump and berms (banked corners). The excitement and popularity of BMX racing have caught the attention of the International Olympic Committee and BMX is now an Olympic sport.

Track photoTrack Events

The Track racing events support by the ScottishPower Youth Racing series are part of the National youth track Omnium. Riders from across Scotland, England and Wales will compete in 3 regional rounds  in thier regions. The top 12 riders at each regional competition will be awarded points with the top five riders in Youth A, B & C categories from each region travelling to Reading on the 14th July for the national final

                                                                              Mini Downhill EventsMini DH

Downhill mountain bike is a fast and exciting sport pitting Man and Machine against the clock. Each rider has to ride a set course comprising of jumps, drops, roots, rocks, twists and turns. The aim to complete the course in the fastest time they can. At the Fort William World Cup the world’s best riders come to the countries only international level competition track to race in front of huge crowds of cheering fans.
